Hello families, I’m Ms. Jaimie,
This schoolhouse began as a quiet dream God placed on my heart. Through years of teaching, serving families, and the encouragement of my fiancé, Mikey, that dream grew into something I could no longer ignore. Together, we stepped out in faith to create a place where children learn in ways that feel natural, joyful, and rooted in God’s love.
I’ve spent more than two decades working with young children, and I still wake up excited to teach. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from UNF, but the heart of my teaching comes from hands-on experience—guiding young learners, supporting families, and mentoring educators. Every child I’ve taught has shaped and strengthened my calling.
We believe in simplicity, community, and the power of a Christ‑centered education. We envisioned a schoolhouse where children grow through strong academics, outdoor exploration, and meaningful relationships—a place where faith is the foundation and families are honored as partners in every step. Rising Up Schoolhouse is our offering: a way to serve our community, honor God, and create a nurturing space where children can grow into who He created them to be.

We prioritize the essential building blocks of education: phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics. Instruction is explicit, systematic, and developmentally responsive, ensuring every child grows in confidence and mastery. Multi-age learning allows children to progress at their own pace while benefiting from peer modeling and collaborative problem-solving.

Our curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire through active, experiential learning. Children build, garden, observe, measure, explore, and create. They learn by doing through discovery and meaningful real‑world experiences. Nature is our extended classroom, offering endless opportunities for inquiry, stewardship, and wonder.

We cultivate virtues such as kindness, perseverance, gratitude, and responsibility to help children grow in both character and faith. We are not simply a microschool; we are a schoolhouse shaped by faith. Christ is at the center of our teaching, our relationships, and our daily rhythms. We seek to cultivate hearts that love God, love others, and reflect His character in all things.

We believe learning extends far beyond our schoolhouse walls. Through partnerships with local businesses, farms, artisans, churches, and community members, children experience meaningful, real-world learning. Community engagement provides opportunities for mentorship, service projects, and hands-on exploration that enrich academic learning and deepen children’s sense of belonging and purpose.
